About Me

I’m pleased you have reached out today and have made that first step. I really hope that you like what you see on here and choose me to be your therapist.

If you are looking on my website, then there’s a good chance you may be looking for therapy.

I realise this is a personal journey for you, so you need to feel comfortable with whoever you choose to work with.

I’d like to tell you a bit about me and my experience and then you can decide if you would like to take the next step and have a chat with me, to tell me about what brings you here.

I have over 10 years’ experience working with people in an emotionally supportive environment. I began my journey as a volunteer for the Samaritans. Here I learnt a lot about people and their struggles with mental health and I wanted to learn more about how I could help.

Following on from here I gained experience working with people who had experienced domestic abuse and then sexual abuse.

I now hold a qualification in Counselling and Psychotherapy and also Hypnotherapy. My counselling approach is a pluralistic one which means that I work with you collaboratively, using which ever approach is necessary to help you achieve the best outcome.

You are in control of your life, so I am not going to tell you what to do. I am not going to judge or criticise you. I am here for you, to guide, empathise, listen and help you on your journey of self-healing. Together we can explore and challenge any difficult situations you may be facing, or any issues you may feel you are experiencing. My aim is to help get you to be your best possible self.

The good life is a process, not a state of being
